This “All Levels” class invites you to explore the body through guided poses and breathing techniques. Experienced yogis will be challenged, while new practitioners will be educated on alignment and release. Yoga is beneficial to circulation, the internal organs, and improves your overall sense of well-being.
Indoor cycling is a form of high-intensity exercise that involves using a stationary exercise bicycle in a classroom setting. Participants set goals based on their heart rate, which can be measured by hand or using a heart rate monitor and rides simulate variations in terrain by altering resistance and cadence. A typical class involves a single instructor at the front of the class who leads the participants through routines that are designed to simulate terrain and situations similar to riding a bike outdoors. Some of the movements and positions include hill climbs, sprints and interval training. A well-trained instructor uses music, motivation and enthusiastic coaching to lead students through a ride that best suits their fitness levels and goals.
The Pilates repertoire consists of more than 500 systematic mat and equipment-based exercises, including unique preparatory, essential, intermediate and advanced level workouts, as well as balanced exercise sequences and modifications to address special population, especially injuries and chronic conditions. There are about 40 mat exercises designed by Joseph Pilates that are performed lying on your back, side or front. Some of the exercises are done on all fours. The mat exercises target the deep abdominal and spine muscles in order to provide core strength. Pilates Mat exercises will develop strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.
